After Class 12th:

You can also go to institutes that are offering the diploma course with training for Air Hostess/ Cabin Crew/ Flight Attendants.

After Graduation:

After completing your 12th, you can opt for a bachelor's degree in aviation management, hospitality management, travel and tourism, or a similar course. 

As a result, you don't need to have a graduation or bachelor's degree to become an Air Hostess. The more general way to start your career as an Air Hostess is followed by completing your 12th class. But if you can also do the Air Hostess course after graduation.

To become an Air Hostess, you not only need a degree, but you must also fit in the benchmark set by the aviation institutes. Additionally, you also should have good communication skills. 

Candidates must have passed class 12th with any subjects and meet other eligibility criteria as specified by the airlines in order to apply directly to the airlines. After applying to a specific airline, candidates must prepare for and pass the written examination, GD (Group Discussions) round, and personal interview to be considered for further consideration.

Selection Procedure for Air Hostess:

Stage 1: Written Examination

Many airlines conduct a written examination for candidates applying for the post of Air Hostess/ Cabin Crew/ Flights Attendant.

Stage 2: Group Discussion

After completing the written examination, the candidate needs to clear the second round, a Group discussion.

Stage 3: Personal Interview

The candidates who clear the 1st, as well as 2nd stage are called in for a walk-in Personal interview. In order to be eligible for the 3rd round, the candidate needs to score maximum in the 1st and 2nd rounds.

Stage 4: Air Hostess Training Provided by the Recruiting Airline

After successfully completing all 3 rounds, the candidates have to go through a 6 month Air Hostess training program in which the candidates will be working as an Air Hostess/ Cabin Crew/ Flight Attendant.

When you start working with an airline, your first 6 months will be on probation or a training period. After completing the training, you will be working as an Air Hostess/ Flight Attendant/ Cabin Crew.

The future prospects of various airlines differ. In domestic airlines, an Air Hostess/ Flight Attendant/ Cabin Crew gets promoted to Senior Cabin Crew after working for a few years. After working as a Senior Cabin Crew for almost a decade, you will be promoted to Director Cabin Services or Director In-Flight Services, which is the highest position.

In international airlines, at the starting stage, you work as a Flight Attendant/ Flight Purser. After gaining years of experience as Flights Purser, you can get promoted to Senior Purser/ Chief Flight Attendant. 

Salary Structure of an Air Hostess:

If you are working in a domestic airline in the future, you would expect a salary of ₹25,000-40,000 per month as a starting salary. And this can increase depending upon the number of work experience.
