The full form of BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery). This is an undergraduate degree program of five and a half years, including a one year internship for hands-on training in Homeopathy medicine and surgery. Upon successful completion of the course, graduates are deemed as Homeopathic Doctors and awarded the BHMS degree. In order to gain admission into a BHMS program in India, candidates must successfully pass Class 12 or its equivalent examination, and clear the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Eligibility Criteria For Pursuing BHMS

Candidates pursuing Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery(full form of BHMS) should meet the following eligibility criteria.

  1. Students should complete 10th and 12th examinations from a recognized university.
  2. Aspirants should have Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English as their major subjects in Class 12.
  3. Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in 12th Std.
  4. Candidates of reserved category must secure 40% marks in Class 12 or equivalent exams with main subjects such as Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English.
  5. The maximum age limit for admissions to BHMS is 25 years (5 years of relaxation for candidates belonging to SC,ST, OBC categories)
  6. Candidates should be a minimum of 17 years of age to go for BHMS.
