DCET 2024: The DCET 2024 Online Seat Cancellation link was active on the official website from July 29, 2024. Seat allotted candidates could fill in their choices until July 26, 2024, till 1:00 pm. Candidates could download the challan until July 26, 2024, till 2:00 pm. Fees were payable until July 26, 2024, till 4:00 pm. Admission orders were available for download until July 27, 2024.

What is Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET)?

DCET 2024 Application Form

The DCET 2024 application form will be available online for all eligible candidates. During the application process, candidates must provide their personal, academic, and contact details, ensuring all information is accurate. Required documents need to be scanned and uploaded according to specified guidelines, and preferred exam centers must be selected. The application fee must be paid through e-challan.

DCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the DCET 2024 entrance test, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the exam authorities. The detailed criteria for applying to the exam are as follows:

Eligibility for BE Courses (Day Engineering Institutions)

• Candidates must have completed a diploma or equivalent exam.
• A minimum of 45% marks in the 5th and 6th semesters combined is required to apply.
• For SC/ST candidates, the minimum required marks are 40%.

Eligibility for BE Courses (Evening Engineering Institutions)

• Candidates must have completed a diploma or equivalent exam.
• A minimum of 45% marks in the 5th and 6th semesters combined is required to apply.
• For SC/ST candidates, the minimum required marks are 40%.
• Additionally, candidates must have at least two years of full-time work experience in a relevant field as of the due date of the year of admission.

Eligibility for BArch First Year (Only in Day Engineering College)

• Candidates must have completed a diploma or equivalent exam from a recognized institute.
• A minimum aggregate score of 50% in all subjects of the final year and 40% marks in NATA 2024 are required.

Reservation Quota Admissions under the reserved category are available for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes (categories 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B) as per Government Order No.

Other Reserved Categories

1. Candidates who participated in the Republic Day Camp conducted by the Director-General of NCC, New Delhi, from Karnataka and possess a 'B' Certificate obtained during their study in Karnataka between 8th and 12th standards.
2. Candidates who participated in specific camps conducted by the Director-General of NCC, New Delhi, from Karnataka and possess a 'B' Certificate obtained during their study in Karnataka between 8th and 12th standards, including:
   • All India Thal Sainik Camp (Boys) - TSC(B)
   • All India Thal Sainik Camp (Girls) - TSC (G)
   • All India Nau Sainik Camp – NSC
   • All India Vayu Sainik Camp – VSC
   • Cadets selected for the DG NCC team for All India Movalankar Shooting Championship and Youth Exchange Programs and Foreign Naval Cruise organized by DG, NCC.
