Initiated in 2011, the CRP is currently in its 13th iteration and is officially titled IBPS PO/MT CRP XIV 2024. The selection process comprises three phases: preliminary, mains, and interview, with candidates required to qualify each stage to progress further. • Final Result: Declared based on candidates' combined performance in IBPS PO Mains and Interview Rounds.
  • Provisional Allotment: The qualified candidate's provisional allotment is announced on the official website, considering their preferences made during the online application.

IBPS's involvement in the selection process extends only until the provisional allotment to different banks is complete. Subsequently, the respective banks are responsible for informing qualified candidates about their joining dates and procedures.

Candidates who successfully clear the mains exam are invited for a face-to-face interview, which carries a maximum score of 100 marks. The minimum qualifying mark for the interview is set at 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).

Typically lasting 15-20 minutes, the interview panel comprising bank officials asks candidates about themselves, the banking sector, current affairs, general awareness, etc. Candidates are expected to be well-dressed, confident, and equipped with all necessary documents for the interview.

The final merit list is compiled based on the marks obtained in the main examination and interview. IBPS calculates the final score, assigning weightage to the main examination and interview in the ratio of 80:20, respectively.

Final Score Calculation for IBPS PO Exam

The final score for the IBPS PO exam is determined based on the following criteria:

  • Marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam (Tier-1) are not considered in the final score but are only for qualification to the Mains Exam (Tier-2).
  • Candidates must independently qualify for Phase-2 and the Interview to be eligible for the final merit list.
  • The weightage (ratio) of the IBPS PO Main exam and interview for the final merit list is 80:20, respectively.
