The application correction window for the SSC GD Constable 2024 exam has been initiated by the Staff Selection Commission on January 4, 2024, allowing candidates to make corrections through ssc.nic.in.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has scheduled the SSC GD 2024 Exam to take place between February 20, 2024, and March 7, 2024. With a total of 26,146 vacancies, the commission aims to fill positions for SSC GD Constables in various paramilitary forces and law enforcement agencies, including BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, NIA, and for riflemen in Assam Rifles (AR). The release of the SSC GD Admit Card 2024 for the North West Region has been confirmed, while the commission is yet to issue admit cards for other regions. Additionally, the application status link has been activated for select candidates. Notably, the SSC GD exam will now be offered in 13 regional languages besides Hindi and English, catering to approximately 48 lakh candidates. The SSC GD constable recruitment examination for the year 2023-24 will proceed through several stages. Initially, candidates will undertake a Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type Computer-based Examination (CBE) administered by the SSC. Following this, successful candidates from the CBE will progress to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and, subsequently, the Physical Standard Test (PST). Candidates who clear the PET/PST will then undergo a Detailed Medical Exam (DME) followed by Document Verification. These stages, namely PET/PST, DME/RME, and document verification will be managed by the CRPFs at their designated centres.

The eligibility criteria for the SSC GD Constable necessitate candidates to have passed Matriculation or Class 10th from a recognized board. However, candidates possessing a 12th mark sheet and undergraduate or postgraduate degree are also eligible to apply for the SSC GD exam. It is imperative for candidates to possess an original mark sheet/degree during the document verification process.
Regarding age limits, candidates for the SSC GD exam must be between 18 and 23 years old. However, there are age relaxations for reserved candidates in the SSC GD Constable exam 2024. Specifically, candidates from the OBC and SC categories are granted age relaxations of 3 years and 5 years, respectively.
Prospective candidates aiming to participate in the SSC GD examination 2023-24 must access the official SSC website to submit their application for the Constable GD Examination. For Unreserved Category candidates, the SSC GD application fee is Rs. 100. However, women candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fees.

The salary structure for the SSC GD Constable position varies depending on the post. For the role of Sepoy in NCB, the salary falls under Pay Level–1, ranging from Rs. 18,000 to 56,900. Conversely, all other posts are placed in Pay Level-3, with salaries ranging between Rs. 21,700 and 69,100. Additionally, candidates appointed to the GD Constable position will be entitled to various benefits and allowances per the 7th pay commission guidelines.
The SSC GD Constable exam, jointly conducted by the Staff Selection Commission and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), follows a multi-stage selection process. In the initial stage, candidates undertake a Computer-based examination organized by the SSC. Successful candidates from this stage proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), followed by the Physical Standard Test (PST), Detailed Medical Examination, and Document Verification.

As per the official notification, the Commission has disclosed the SSC GD Result 2024, incorporating force allocation criteria dependent on candidates' performance in the computer-based examination and their selected preference of force. This allocation is contingent upon candidates meeting the requirements outlined in the exam notification, including passing the physical standard test, physical efficiency test, medical examination, and other prerequisites.
While SSC will oversee the compilation of the merit list and issuance of final results, additional responsibilities such as determining the exam's structure and vacancies, conducting PET/PST/DME/RME, and document verification will be managed by the CAPFs.
The release of the SSC GD Cut off score will coincide with the announcement of results, determining candidates' progression to the subsequent round of the recruitment process. The SSC GD Constable Cutoff 2024 will be made available subsequent to the normalization of scores.
The SSC GD cutoff marks for Unreserved, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and ESM categories will be separately disclosed for male and female candidates, with consideration for each State/UT and designated areas of Border Guarding and Militancy/Naxal affected Districts, where applicable.
