The Government of India provides jobs to those who have passed a class 10th in government sectors. Job vacancies are classified into two types:

1. Horizontal Vacancies: Jobs for veterans, PWDs, and EWS are included in horizontal vacancies.
2. Vertical Vacancies: Jobs for Gen, SC, ST, BC, and OBC are included in vertical vacancies.

Jobs in some departments are more than in others, so candidates must try applying for positions with the most openings. Your specializations will also affect your pay.

Banking:

Students interested in banking build their career base after class 10th by opting for a related stream, such as commerce. The banking sector offers various jobs in both public and private departments with attractive salary packages and stable jobs. Banking also offers other works, such as public banks offering class 10th candidates to fill up the low-ranking vacancies of multipurpose staff, sweepers, security guards, etc. At the same time, for managerial-level jobs, students must take banking exams with no age restrictions.

Defence:

Students can apply for various opportunities in different posts such as Indian Coast Guard, SSC GD, Airforce group C, women military police, etc. They can also apply for multi-tasking staff, electricians, printers, tailors, books, washermen, engine fitters, and many other jobs included in the class 10th passed government jobs. Some jobs also offer diploma certificates.

Railways:

The candidates who have passed the class 10th with a minimum of 50% marks can apply for the railway jobs only if they have an ITI certificate in the relevant trade. Jobs such as RRB ALP, RPF Constable, and Railway Apprentice are better options. However, students can also work as a fitter, carpenters, technicians, welders, maintainers, etc. Students must also take the necessary training to become eligible for these jobs.

Staff Selection Board (SSC):

SSC recruits class 10 students for various job positions of data entry operators, lower division clerks, multi-tasking staff, etc. SSC also provides Office jobs to class 12th pass students. However, to have jobs at top positions, students must appear for exams such as SSC Stenographer and SSC CGL. Nevertheless, the number of vacancies in this department is numerous to recruit many candidates simultaneously.

Police Force:

Students who have passed their class 10th cannot apply for high-level senior positions in the police force, such as Superintendent of Police, Assistant SP, inspector, etc. They can apply for lower head positions such as senior and head constables, Firemen, drivers, and constable drivers. To become eligible for these positions, this candidate must buy the minimum medical fitness test and their class 10th.
