What After Polytechnic?

  1. Btech/BE
  2. AIME Certification
  3. Graduation Specific Stream

1) B.Tech

B.Tech or B.E is the most popular path for Polytechnic Diploma holders, especially those in engineering fields. To pursue this degree, applicants must appear for the relevant Engineering Entrance Exams based on the college and subject of their choice. Engineering Diploma holders are often offered lateral entry into many engineering colleges, allowing them to join the program in the second or third semester of the B.Tech / B.E. program. Some colleges have separate entrance exams to assess diploma holders for lateral entry admission.

Eligibility – Candidates must have completed their 12th grade or hold a diploma from a recognized university.

Average Salary –INR 2.5 TO 4 LPA

Engineering diploma holders have the option to pursue the AIME Certification Course as an alternative. The AIME (Associate Member of the Institutions of Engineers) certification is a professional designation equivalent to a B.E. degree. The Institute of Engineering, India, offers the AIME course, typically completed within four years, divided into two sections. Polytechnic Diploma holders are exempt from a few papers from Section A, specifically Project Work, which allows them to obtain the AIME certification in about three years.

Eligibility Criteria – The candidate must have completed their 12th grade or obtained a diploma from a recognized university to be eligible.

Average Salary – INR 2.5 TO 4 LPA

This option is especially beneficial for non-engineering Diploma holders who can enrol in standard graduation programs such as B.Sc, B.A., BCA, and B.Com. To be eligible for admission to these courses, students must have completed their Class 12 Board Exam or +2 certifications.

Eligibility Criteria- To be eligible, the candidate must have completed a diploma or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.

Average Salary - INR 2 TO 4 LPA
