NEET Counselling Process and Career Counselling for NEET:

NEET exam is the top most national level exam for students who want to become a future doctor or a paramedic in hospitals worldwide.

The registration fee for NEET UG Counselling for General category aspirants is INR 1000.

The registration fee for NEET UG Counselling for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD category aspirants is INR 500.

Mode of NEET counselling and Conduction time:

The need counselling is conducted in both online and offline mode depending on the state and Central authorities. The students who are participating in online counselling will have to fill online forms and go through the online procedure while the candidates participating in the offline counselling must directly report to the respective venues. 

The counselling is generally conducted after the results are declared. 

There are three rounds conducted in the Neet counselling including a mop-up round conducted by deemed and Central Universities.

Steps for NEET UG Counselling Registration:

  • To apply for NEET UG Counselling, visit the website of the Medical Counselling Committee.
  • Then click on UG Medical Counselling on the home page.
  • You will find the registration link on the screen.
  • Fill the requested information and register yourself on the website of MCC.
  • Login and fill the NEET UG Counselling application form.
  • Upload all the required documents, pay the Counselling fee, and submit the form.
  • Complete the choice Locking Process of NEET counselling.
  • Check your status of getting the college after declaration of NEET UG allotment results.
  • If you were not able to secure a seat in your desired college, you can apply for the second round.

1. Who conducts NEET Counselling for state quota and private colleges?

Ans: State counselling authority of the respective state will conduct neet counselling for 85% state quota states and private colleges of the state.

2. Who can participate in NEET counselling for 15% AIQ seats?

Ans: The 15% all India photo seats can be availed by candidates who qualify the NEET entrance test. However, candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir will not be eligible for 15% AIQ seats.

3. What is the eligibility criteria for ESIC Counselling?

Ans: Children of ESI people will be granted admission to NEET based on the AIQ eligibility as authorities have canceled the reservation for ensured people's children. 

4. Will I be eligible to participate in the state counselling if a seat is alloted to me in the second round of counselling conducted by MCC?

Ans: A candidate can participate in state counselling if he has not joined the allotted college in NEET counselling.
