Q.3 Can I Get Lateral Entry to Polytechnic Diploma Engineering After ITI?
Ans: Candidates with a valid National Trade Certificate who passed an ITI trade program lasting two years can apply for admission to the second year of a Polytechnic diploma program. These programs are offered in 3-year engineering curricula approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Entrance examinations, referred to by various names depending on the state, are required to participate in these courses.
Q.4 When Does Admission to ITI Colleges Commence?
Ans: The admission process for ITI colleges begins in August each year before starting a new session on 1st August. Applicants must take a written exam before admission, and successful applicants will be notified of acceptance before the start of the new session. Admissions are based on merit, as outlined by NCVT guidelines for government colleges or otherwise directly for private colleges.
